Mario Kart was the chosen video game of the decade. It has evolved to be available on a variety of consoles over the years, with it’s latest release being on September 25, 2019.
Video-Game of the Decade – Mario Kart
Despite being first released in 1992, Mario Kart still plays a significant role in today’s video gaming world. Nintendo consoles were a huge part of my childhood and with each one came additional versions of the classic Mario Kart game. In this past decade, there have been four new games released, in addition to a mobile phone version of the game, Mario Kart Tour (2019). I know I am not alone in saying that playing Mario Kart on my phone is a great way to pass time. Playing Mario Kart reminds me of my childhood, while still being fun years later. With the accessibility, nostalgia and simplicity of this game, it definitely made my decade for best video game.
