Cara Roth, News Editor

Senior Cara Roth is a third-year staff member and News Editor of the Brantley Banner Newspaper. Cara has a strong passion for journalism and plans to major in communications once she gets to college. She is also a member of the brand-new Ceramics Club. Outside of school, Cara has a passion for coffee, and she frequents Zanzibar Coffee House. She is an avid bullet journalist and is excited to incorporate this into the podcast content this year as well. As a fervent Disney fan, the number one item on Cara’s bucket list is to travel to every single Disney park on the globe. From the two she has visited so far (California’s Disneyland Resort and Disney World Orlando), she has obtained new coffee mugs for her collection, and she is very eager to hopefully travel to one of the Europe locations next summer.

Senior Cara Roth has spent some of her free time at home to reminisce on childhood memories playing online games like Toontown Rewritten with her friends. In doing this and similar activities, she has realized that the memories she will have forever hold more value than the events that have been postponed.

Sophomores Veronica Calderon and Emily Vincent avoid the mob of students leaving campus by waiting on campus before trying to leave. They wait until the parking lot is mostly empty before making their way to their car. “In the parking lot, people ride your bumper and cut people off whenever they can,” Calderon said. “I always wait 10-15 minutes before leaving because the parking lot is empty and there's no chance of any accident happening.”

Sophomores Isabel Henderson and Jasmine Jones wait in their car in the student parking lot after school, waiting for their chance to exit the lot. It takes about 15 minutes to get off of school campus, causing many students to get frustrated with waiting. “The parking lot is a pain to go through, but at least it’s convenient,” Henderson said. “I think everyone there just wants to leave as soon as possible.”
