At the districts swim meet on Oct. 27, held at the James M. Sprinkle pool, sophomore Cole Parnell is diving off the starting block of lane 4 for his 100 meter freestyle event. Parnell qualified for the Regionals swim meet since his time at districts was ranked as the top eight for the boys division. Regionals was held in Gainesville, FL, on Nov. 1, and Parnell swam the 100 meter freestyle in 48.3 seconds, qualifying him to go to the state swim meet which will be held on Nov. 10. “My favorite part about the meet was being able to hang out with my teammates and being able to swim fast,” Parnell said.
