On Feb. 28, on the Tom Storey Field, the senior class hosted the second senior lunch of the school year. Attending the lunch cost $3 and for an additional $4 fee, seniors could purchase a Chick-fil-A sandwich, bottle of water and chips.

From the beginning of A Lunch through the end of B Lunch, seniors participating in the senior lunch event were able to eat Chick-fil-A, play games and listen to music.

“I just sat on the field and ate the Chick-fil-A with a few of my friends,” senior Isabel Henderson said. “[It was] nothing big, but it was still fun.”

While on the field, seniors could play games such as tug-of-war, giant Jenga and cornhole. Seniors that did not play games had the opportunity to spend time together and take pictures to preserve their senior year memories.

“You’re never going to be in your last year of high school ever again,” senior Alexa Landa said. “At the end of the year, we all go our own ways and senior events give us fun before we go off on our own. It makes senior year so much fun and [gives] something to look back on for a long time.”

Even though Feb. 28 was the last senior lunch planned for the school year, it is just one of many senior-only events to come. Upcoming events include Grad Bash on March 11, where seniors go to Universal Studios after closing hours and Senior Breakfast on April 24.

“I’m probably most excited for Grad Bash,” Henderson said. “I already love Universal, so to go there with all of my friends at night sounds like it’ll be so much fun.”
