Porter Huyck is a senior who is in his first year on staff at The Brantley Banner. He is a member of the marching band, where he plays cymbals on the drumline. He is an avid follower of politics, and one of his favorite things to do is to listen to political podcasts. His favorite political podcast is the NPR Politics Podcast. He is an amateur blacksmith, and has custom crafted a spear and a tomahawk. He is also a member of the Lake Brantley Ceramics Club. His favorite class at Brantley is Journalism with Mrs. Turkelson. He has a cat named Greebo, who is named after a character in the Discworld Series by Terry Pratchett. He is excited to be on staff because he loves writing, especially political writing.
